The Great Battle of Bataan
The Battle of Bataan was fought by the United States and the Philippine Commonwealth against Japan during World War II. The battle represented the most intense phase of the Japanese invasion of the Philippines during World War II. In January 1942, forces of the Imperial Japanese Army and Navy invaded Luzon after the bombing of the American naval base at Pearl Harbor. The Day of Valor, officially known as “Araw ng Kagitingan”, is a national observance in the Philippines which commemorates the fall of Bataan to Japanese troops during World War II. It falls every April 9.
We must celebrate this because it shows the bravery of Filipinos during World War II. They use their brave to protect our country from the enemies. Celebrating the independency of our country is a good move for us. We can show our patriotism by celebrating how the Filipinos defend our country. We must also remember the Filipinos who gave their life just to defend and protect our country from the invaders. They are the heroes willing to give their life to guard the safety of the country.
It is important to celebrate "Araw ng Kagitingan" during April 9. Because we remember all the heroes that defend our country during World War II by celebrating it. We must praise all the soldier who gave their life to save our country.
