          We often celebrate Binatbatan festival during last week of April to the first week of May. Binatbatan dancing is connected to Vigan's abel Iloco craft. The dance depicts how cotton pods are beaten with bamboo sticks to release the cotton fluff called batbat from its seed. This festival was started in 2002 to showcase this traditional weaving craft that is said to predate the arrival of the Spaniards.            Before pandemic, Binatbatan festival showcase street dance that is one of the main attractions during the week-long celebrations. showcases local art of mosaicking seeds called ”boklan”.           The Battle of Bataan  was fought by the United States and the Philippine Commonwealth against Japan during World War II. The battle represented the most intense phase of the Japanese invasion of the Philippines during World War II. In January 1942, forces of the Imperial Japanese Army and Navy invaded Luzon  after the bombing of the American naval base at Pearl Harbor. The Day of Valor, officially known as “Araw ng Kagitingan”, is a national observance in the Philippines which commemorates the fall of Bataan to Japanese troops during World War II.             In the month of January to Febraury, Ilocos Sur is celebrating a festival called Kannawidan Festival. A festival in the Province of Ilocos Sur commemorating the separation of the two Ilocos provinces in 1818. This festival is a showcase of indigenous performances, religious rituals, as well cooking demos featuring the best of Ilocano dishes. Many people are going on it because of the shows, competitions and showcase of their products from their own town.           Many shows are seen when Kannawidan Festival begins. In the first day of the festival, fireworks display is shown to the people of Ilocos Sur as an entrance show.           This second quarter I learned many lessons as an ICT student. Many lesson had teach to me by our teacher. In the first part of the 2nd quarter, we learn the parts of HTML and basic HTML tags. Every week, we make a draft for our blog to improve our blogging skill. As the time pass by, we tried to make HTML page. We learn many html tags either stand alone tags or paired tag. Giving font color,size, face and putting an image to an HTML page is my favorite lesson for this quarter.           This quarter there are also challenges and problems that I have encountered. Even the quarantine is lifted, some of the module is sent online, it hard to do it on phone or laptap because its hard to scroll just to see the lesson and task to be answered.           In the past year, many fiesta as has been cancelled or conduct online. Example of this is the Vigan City Fiesta Celebration. People can not enjoy the celebration because of the risk they can from the Covid 19 Virus. Even theres a risk spreading, we can make other ways to celebrate it.            Online is the best way to celebrate the Vigan City Fiesta this year. For this new year, I want to see my self more productive again. This year I will try create more happy memories with my friend and relatives.             This year I wan my self to be productive.   The most common environmental problem in a community is Pollution and improper waste management that causes major problems in a community. Some people   in a community especially in the Philippines have a lot of undisciplined people. They like to throw garbage anywhere that effects improper waste management.        Education is important to us Filipino because it is the main basis in finding a job. The Covid-19 Pandemic had make a huge impact in the economy, health care services, transportation, tourism and especially education. The education stopped at the middle of the month of March, year 2020 because Philippines had recorded the first case of Covid-19. Even students faces challenges, with the coordination of DepEd and Department of health, they made the continuations of classes successful by using Distance learning. When the classes stopped, students wait seven months before the opening of classes in School Year 2020-2021.        In November 11-12, the Typhoon Ulysses landed on the Philippines especially in the part of Luzon. The typhoon landed at Cagayan and Isabela that submerged homes for the thousand of families. Typhoon Ulysses recorded its highest wind with 215 km/h(130 mph). The deadly and powerful typhoon categorized as category 4. They say that the typhoon Ulysses is the deadliest and most destructive tropical cyclone n the year 2020 in Philippines. By the resilience of Filipino, they worked together during and after the typhoon to lessen its damage.
